Promoting Responsible, Science-BASED Wildlife Management in Alaska

The mission of the Alaska Chapter of The Wildlife Society is to benefit the long-term health of Alaska’s wildlife and the sustained use and enjoyment of these resources by the public we collectively serve. In meeting our mandate, the Alaska Chapter serves as an objective, science-based organization that provides information and thoughtful analysis on important and relevant issues pertaining to conservation of wildlife and their habitats.

PEOPLE for Alaska’s Wildlife

Our members work for a variety of public, private, and tribal entities with diverse missions, including wildlife and lands management, research, conservation and stewardship, and policy. The Alaska Chapter of The Wildlife Society serves as a common forum for wildlife professionals to network and share perspectives on Alaska’s diverse wildlife habitats and populations.
